Raj is a professional Integrative and Person-Centred psychotherapist and counsellor, a Child & Adolescent psychotherapist, a qualified Clinical Supervisor and is UKCP registered. He works long-term and with a time focused approach (short term) for those with a clear therapeutic goal; CBT.

His ethics are based on person-centred values and conditions, i.e. acceptance, non-judgmental attitude and respect. His integrative approach is described as the assimilation and synthesis of concepts, ideas and techniques from different modalities such as humanistic-existential, person-centred, Gestalt, eclectic-integrative multi-modal therapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural, mindfulness and psychodynamic.

He has an MA in Psychoanalysis and an MA in Integrative Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy and is a qualified child, adolescent & adult supervisor and a service provider for PruHealthCare.  He has extensive experience of working with professionals within a clinical setting and working with individuals, adolescents and young children privately. He receives regular clinical supervision and is fully insured to practice.

He has worked as a supervisor for over 5 years and is fully qualified to the standard of a post-graduate level.  He provides supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists and those in training.  He also supervises groups in more established settings and organisations.

His theoretical approach embraces all therapeutic approaches. This usually begins with being firmly grounded and experienced in one approach and then assimilating others into providing a formulation of your needs and the needs of the client.  He draws on a number of theories to support your practice with your clients.

His strengths are from a place of truly understanding and supporting the way you develop as a practitioner. This will include working with distress, having a deeper understanding of one self and develop the ability to be present for your client work and in the professional role.

He offers supervision on a sliding scale dependant on your situation.
